Our Healthcare Staff

A Team that gives diginiti-filled care with  empathy

our team also consists of dedicated caregiving and nursing professionals who love what they do. We enjoy making a difference every day in the lives of those we are trusted to support. Their service performances are regularly evaluated by our Clinical Consultants through personal meetings, and feedback from our clients and Staffing Coordinators.

Our team is trained to meet LLHC standards and is obliged to follow the policies and procedures required by Ontario Health Services as well as the federal laws. Some of those policies and procedures include mediatory police background checks, First Aid, CPR and BLS certification.

Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) both provide direct nursing care to patients, extend health education programs, and respond to consultative services within the scope of nursing practice. They collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families. RNs and RPNs have a current Certificate of Competence for Registered Nurse and Registered Practical Nurse respectively from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

Personal Support Workers (PSWs) provide dedicated and compassionate personal care and healthcare support to patients in all aspects of personal hygiene, grooming, medication, mobility and communication; assist in meal preparation, feeding, leisure ambulation and rehabilitative exercises; provide social and meaningful companionship, observation, safety and conservation; and report behavioural changes of patients to designated superior. They also perform light housekeeping duties (when applicable) such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds; and other duties related to patient health care and comfort.

All our Personal Support Workers have obtained a PSW Certificate of Competence and/or an NACC certificate from an approved Ontario caregiver program.

Depending on work setting and scope of duties, a PSW may be assigned as Patient Service Assistant, Sitter, Constant Caregiver, Personal Care Provider, Family Caregiver, or Homemaker. As members of C-Care health care staff, PSWs have acquired supervised practical training, completed CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) course, and gained at least one year job related experience.

Registered Social Worker: works directly with patients in a variety of capacities. They might conduct a psychosocial assessment of the patient upon admittance to the facility. They might also work with a patient that is soon to be discharged on the types of aftercare that are available to them and how to procure such services. Also act as liaisons for patients such that the patient and their family can better navigate the health care system, which can sometimes be quite confusing.

Another critical component of a healthcare social worker’s duties is to help educate other health care professionals  and patients family members about underlying issues the  patients might be experiencing so they are better equipped to recognize issues like anxiety or depression that might present themselves in patients that have serious health issues as well. .

We employ ONLY Certified Personal Support Workers. Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Registered social workers, Occupational-therapist and  Physiotherapist.
